Quick Release Bumper - Nathan1305 - 05-07-2015

Anyone done this or have a clever idea on how to make a bumper quick release. Would like to do it for the 106 so I can quickly pop it off at track days and so onĀ

Isn't it only held on by 2 bolts on the 106? just weld wingnuts to the bolts.

Yeah I'm looking at some options now, I like what Piggy has done on his but can't find any info on what he's done

Been thinking this my self...

Separate the main bumper from the solid mounting. Attach the mount as usual the drill a hole either side, then fit bonnet pins to the bumper, use the holes for the securing rods.

So when it comes to it, undo the pins pull the bumper "skin" off, it will leave the main cross member of the bumper attached behind. That's what I'll be doing to the rallye anyway Wink

I have ordered some them rubber band ones so use them to hold or on then a cabletie each side under grill for support. Thats the idea anyway. If that fails ill get the spring type ones instead
