How much is reasonable for a timing belt replacement? - JTaylor2005 - 19-02-2015 Hey all, Car is coming up for timing belt soon. Any ball park figures of how much it should cost? Cheers Jack RE: How much is reasonable for a timing belt replacement? - shervo - 19-02-2015 Cambelt kit £55 + vat Water pump £17 + vat Then factor in coolant/distilled water and labour if you're not doing it yourself but they are fairly easy. RE: How much is reasonable for a timing belt replacement? - Toms306 - 19-02-2015 Pretty easy on a HDi...just try not to slip off the crank pulley when rotating the engine and smash your finger into the brake caliper, I have a permanently disfigured nail from that. Couple of hours work for a garage, little more if it's your first time. You'll probably want to change the aux belt at the same time. |
