Car won't start, no fuel getting to pump - karl2.0 - 23-12-2014 So I bought a 306 D turbo Owner had the fuel pump screwed out 'Lucas' I took the green bung off, screwed it back to standard then realised there is no fuel primer bulb in my engine bay poured diesel into the fuel filter and cranked until the battery died any ideas? thankyou RE: Car won't start, no fuel getting to pump - bashbarnard - 23-12-2014 Check the in tank filter could be blocked up. Ive had that before. RE: Car won't start, no fuel getting to pump - Danny Wideboy - 23-12-2014 Get yourself a primer bulb dude. Can be had for not a lot of money from ebay, or local scrappy if you are desperate for one now. If you get one second hand, check it for cracks as they can go a bit brittle over time. RE: Car won't start, no fuel getting to pump - Piggy - 23-12-2014 I got a few if stuck ![]() RE: Car won't start, no fuel getting to pump - vincent1 - 23-12-2014 may off wound the lucas fuel screw too far back in? you say u put it back to standard? Owner before me said he had it screwed out half a turn, thing was chucking too much smoke out the back on start up so I wound it back half a turn On the line going from the filter to the pump there is no suction/diesel going through it, only the tiniest amount stuck between an air bubble, I took the fuel filter cap off and filled it with diesel still nothing Where would I connect a primer bulb if I got one?
