cv boot clip - jayspug86 - 11-11-2014 I cant get the clip on to a cv boot can you use any other type like a jubilee? cv boot clip - rocker8742 - 11-11-2014 Got a jubilee on mine and it seems to work alright Why can't you get the clip on? RE: cv boot clip - zx_volcane - 11-11-2014 have used zip ties with much success in the past, but now have the crimper tool for doing the proper clips the proper clips need a special tool for tightening, which to be honest is worth getting if you're going to do a few in your lifetime you'd have to be certain if using a jubilee clip that the head where the screw is doesn't foul on anything when the driveshaft rotates. zip tie is much easier tbh! RE: cv boot clip - welshpug - 11-11-2014 jubilees are hateful on boots. cable tie will suffice in most cases. RE: cv boot clip - Piggy - 11-11-2014 As much as I didnt like the first time I used one as a temp fix...zip/cable ties have always done the trick for me. Jubilee is likely to cut the rubber RE: cv boot clip - londondan86 - 11-11-2014 Never had a problem using the proper clips to be honest. Just use a pair of side cutters to add the tension. But yea cable tie ftw if it has to be done!! RE: cv boot clip - jayspug86 - 11-11-2014 would a zip tie be a mot failure?
