Turbo talk - Danny2009 - 14-08-2014 Right, if I weld the flap shut on a t2 for the wastegate arm and left the wastegate arm off the turbo and plumbed in a mbc could I control the boost with the mbc or am I missing something RE: Turbo talk - bashbarnard - 14-08-2014 Mbc by itself will control boost. If you weld anything you take away ability to adjust it. RE: Turbo talk - Dave - 15-08-2014 Yess Danny you are missing something. When the MBC opens at a set pressure it opens the boost can which opens the wastegate, If this is welded closed then it wont open rendering the MBC useless... RE: Turbo talk - Danny2009 - 15-08-2014 Had a think about it this morning when I'd sobered up and realised that wouldn't work Welded shut and control with fuel seems to be the way I'm going then RE: Turbo talk - nominous - 15-08-2014 If the wastegate is just disconnected, what will a T2 push up to ? On a 9mm with max fuel screw adjust just lower than 2K revving and LDA rotate. RE: Turbo talk - Jimbo - 15-08-2014 30+ psi Would be well out its efficency range though. RE: Turbo talk - ADV_93 - 16-08-2014 Did you get any pics of turbo? |
