xud9te super economy set up? - unclebeast - 28-06-2014 That is what I am interested in...anyone know how? Though I am a fan of Darren j Lobb`s XUD handiwork! RE: xud9te super economy set up? - Piggy - 28-06-2014 1) Fit a bosch pump 2) do a mild stage1 tune 3) run on veg oil for 50-75% of the cost of diesel ![]() RE: xud9te super economy set up? - unclebeast - 28-06-2014 Is there a way without veg oil, just using pump diesel, I figure that the amazing increase in power by relatively small adjustments to fuelling boost etc to the XUD9TE would suggest that economy (though not a popular thread) could also be tweaked in some way, I am a full on newbie mind! RE: xud9te super economy set up? - Piggy - 28-06-2014 Its known that a stg1 tune will improve economy. You could reduce fueling a bit...but you may find the need to boost more to get going!! RE: xud9te super economy set up? - Ruan - 28-06-2014 GT15 or newer if you can. VE pump. Tweak Injection quantity a little for improved torque. Play with timing until best results are achieved. Went from the original T2/K14 and ~45mpg to a GT15 which gave low 50s to the GT20v and instantly was up to 58mpg on a run - amazing the efficiency gains from modern turbochargers. xud9te super economy set up? - DavidA - 29-06-2014 I'd be interested in an economy setup too doing 100+ miles a day to work and back. Are the GT15/GT20v direct fits ? RE: xud9te super economy set up? - Dave - 29-06-2014 Gt15 is, gt20 isn't xud9te super economy set up? - DavidA - 30-06-2014 So what vehicle would I find the GT15 on ? RE: xud9te super economy set up? - Ruan - 30-06-2014 Very late XUD9s - Generally on a T plate. RE: xud9te super economy set up? - darrenjlobb - 30-06-2014 What Ruan said, aside from making sure your running a bosch pump with good injectors / timing, the best thing that will effect your MPG is the turbo.... You wouldnt believe how far turbo technology has come fowards since the old T series....They can move air so efficiently now its unreal... xud9te super economy set up? - DavidA - 30-06-2014 My car is on a T plate, so does that mean I might have the GT15 already ? Just need to sort out a Bosch pump setup now... RE: xud9te super economy set up? - bashbarnard - 30-06-2014 Ive got a gt15 you can have. Ive recently blown it up though RE: xud9te super economy set up? - toseland - 30-06-2014 for infinite mpg, leave your car at home and walk or cycle xud9te super economy set up? - DavidA - 30-06-2014 (30-06-2014, 04:13 PM)toseland Wrote: for infinite mpg, leave your car at home and walk or cycle I would, if I didn't work 55 miles from home ! RE: xud9te super economy set up? - toseland - 30-06-2014 then bosch, stage1 and veg = the winning combo.. |
