tools needed to remove a rear beam? - my-first-306 - 26-05-2014 Hi all, ive managed to find a good rear beam local to me on a car for breaking and have to remove it myself, I know it bolts through the floor, does anyone know what tools ill need to make it easier/quicker for me? cheers steve RE: tools needed to remove a rear beam? - puglove - 27-05-2014 socket set. (deep sockets) & extension bars pair of grips. depending on how you plan to release you hand brake cable brake pipe spanners Jacks and axel stands and at least 1 friend makes things much easier It is just a case of releasing hand brake / disconecting brake lines. Beams are easy to remove and not all that heavy after you've done a few, just an awkward shape really.
