Knocking and stalling feeling pulling away.. - C.A.R. - 17-02-2014

Are these the symptoms of one of the mounts going? If so, which one is most likely?

I couldn't see any movement in the top mount, but when pulling away in 1st I can sometimes feel the engine shake, like it's trying to stall, even though it's not - if that makes sense!

I'm going to be working on the car soon so could get this sorted at the same time...

Knocking when pulling away hard would suggest engine mount, but I never got any stalling feeling when my mount went.

Definitely one of my mounts on its way out I reckon, this has recently got worse. The whole car judders when pulling away from a standstill.

Which one is it most likely to be? I can't get it to do it without being under load, if that gives any clues?

Pop the bonnet and give it a shake, if its that bad then you shoukd be able to tell.

The bottom mount would cause the most amount of movement, get under and check that one

Could be a cracked cup on the top that the mount screws into.
