Turns out estate has hdi brakes on.even listed under the reg on ECP. Is this a common thing on phase 2 estates

You sure they're HDi brakes? I haven't seen Lucas 266s on anything older than ph3. Might be Bosch 266s which are usually on 1.8s/XSis.

All estates had lucas 266mm fronts ...even the nads ...was estate brakes I used to upgrade my p1 ...saloons all got stuck with 247s
