Lever the arm back then connect the cable.

I have levered the clutch arm round and hooked it on but no surely its constantly resting on the release bearing and will f*ck it up?

new cable? If not, the adjuster needs resetting. Hook it in place then repeatedly stamp on the clutch pedal hard and you will find the biting point moves as the adjuster moves.

I stamped on it a few times but its still tight as feck. Im getting rid of it so i really dont want to be shelling out for parts.
