Ph1 bonnet struts - Frosty - 04-09-2013 I have been thinking about the idea of fitting some gas struts for the bonnet on my ph1 as I have got the strut on the ph3 I got for breaking. Has anyone done this before? Is it easy? RE: Ph1 bonnet struts - Jonny81191 - 04-09-2013 you'd have to weld the fittings to the top of the wings and drill and tap the side of the bonnet, not really worth it IMHO RE: Ph1 bonnet struts - Jimbo - 04-09-2013 Disagree I reckon go for it. Cant be hard to do sure ive aeen it done before RE: Ph1 bonnet struts - underground375 - 04-09-2013 Im doing this on my ph1 the weekend, but im going ph3 so I already have the bonnet with the mounts on. Before I desided to change the phase of my car I was going to do it to the ph1 front. RE: Ph1 bonnet struts - Frosty - 06-09-2013 Im really tempted to do it as I should have all the bits to do it but I will see if I can get round to it RE: Ph1 bonnet struts - HDIkyle - 07-09-2013 Done one side of mine just need to do the other Ph1 bonnet struts - Frosty - 07-09-2013 (07-09-2013, 03:38 PM)HDIkyle Wrote: Done one side of mine just need to do the other How did you go about doing it?
