bleeding fuel lines - td_dan - 19-02-2012 right put a perfectly healthy engione into jj0063's shell today but its been a right bitch to bleed the fuel lines iv cranked for about an hour killing the battery lol. iv done the usual cracked the injector, pumped the grenade, check the fuel housing, undone that banjo bolt between the pully and the housing with pl;enty of fuel coming out. Just cant get any fuel out the injectors. Any suggestions or is it just a case of just keep trying. the engine ran sweet in the old car Re: bleeding fuel lines - Daniel306 - 19-02-2012 Check the o-ring in the sender unit and the connection on top? Re: bleeding fuel lines - td_dan - 19-02-2012 the engine that we removed from the old shell had been running so the tank should be ok Re: bleeding fuel lines - Daniel306 - 19-02-2012 loosen the return banjo and pump the grenade until air stops coming out, then crank it over with all injectors loose Re: bleeding fuel lines - td_dan - 20-02-2012 cheers mate ill give that a bash tomorrow. any other ideas? Re: bleeding fuel lines - Chris - 20-02-2012 Tow it, or try and bump it, seems to draw the fuel up easier than just cranking them on the starter. Re: bleeding fuel lines - td_dan - 20-02-2012 Thanks mate il giv it a bash later Re: bleeding fuel lines - vincent1 - 20-02-2012 have you defently got 12 volt to the stop solenoid? been there before my self on a dodgy solenoid i removed the plunger from it re fitted top of solenoid bleed then ok no problems. |
