That definitely looks as if its being pulled off. Take the arm off and give it a good inspection. If that IRS whilst you are driving it could be horrific!

RE: can someone shed some light of this - jays306 - 08-08-2013

my concerns exactly, best thing is both lower arms are brand new & came with the bush attached. thanks

No chance the subframe is out of shape? If they're new wishbones i'd assume there's a manufacturing fault tbh.

RE: can someone shed some light of this - jays306 - 08-08-2013

i can't see any damage to the sub frame, here is a better view of the lower arm.
i gonna take it back to the shop where i got it from & get it replaced..

That's definitely coming off. No two ways about it.

When you put the new one on measure te distance from the wheel-arch on both sides to give a better idea of if the subframe is straight Smile

cheers for that.

RE: can someone shed some light of this - jays306 - 08-08-2013

Well got a replacement lower arm Smile it turns out the old one was smaller arm some kind of manifacturing fault :/ All sorted now though. Thanks for the quick replys

RE: can someone shed some light of this - Grant - 08-08-2013

Thats odd.

Theres a lot of lower arm issues coming out of the woodwork lately :/

Glad you got it sorted Smile

RE: can someone shed some light of this - jays306 - 08-08-2013

I suppose thats what you get for not buying dealer parts.

RE: can someone shed some light of this - Grant - 08-08-2013

It shouldn't be the case though. If people are selling parts such as this they should be fit for purpose. What has happened there is a serious safety risk.

I'd be inclined to escalate it.

Glad to help. Smile

Easiest way to avoid this is to always compare old parts to new before fitting.
