This is after a pump change so my guess is I need to adjust the pump on the bracket. Which way do I turn the pump or is it just trial and error?

You mean advance it? Move it Towards the block I'm sure

There are two things to check: Timing and fuel filter. If the timing is correct then I would suggest changing the fuel filter, as a blocked fuel filter will interfere with injection timing. You adjust the pump away from the engine for later injection and towards the engine for earlier injection. About 3/4rds is the correct setting.

Is it revving up ok? Make sure its time up well, pull brave and tight over the pump pulley hold the tension onto and over the cam pulley then release the tentioner to hold it. Did you move the studs if its a lucas to bosch swap?

Never took belt off so it should be timed fine and fuel filters new. does rev fine when driving just start up
