Handbrake light comes on while driving - andywhy - 17-05-2013 Hi all, Sorry for the multiple questions lately but there's some niggles I need to work out Driving my HDi home after buying and after 10-15 minutes or so the handbrake light came on. Pulling the handbrake makes the light slightly brighter. I've checked the brake fluid and it's up to the mark no problem. I've been told it could be brake wear sensors, is that possible? If not, what else could it be? Thanks all, Andy RE: Handbrake light comes on while driving - Connor - 17-05-2013 Its the low fluid level sensor, but seeing as you've topped it up, its probably down to dicky wiring somewhere, maybe a connection. It didn't need topping up as it was all OK and looks brand new as it was fairly clear pale yellow fluid. It's probably a bad sensor as you say but I will keep an eye on it. Cheers.
