Reading on there you can only drive 250 miles with that then they charge you 16p per mile!

RE: Trailer required - France - bigcheez2k3 - 13-04-2013

Would get raped on the mileage allowance on that.

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

I can get around that with my business links to them. I hope.

RE: Trailer required - France - Dum-Dum - 13-04-2013

How quick is it possible to get a passport cos after 7am tomorrow Im off work till the camping meet

RE: Trailer required - France - Danny2009 - 13-04-2013

Knew I should have renewed my passport! I would have just bought a cheap truck and drove over.

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

Weeks unless you walk in and get one from London. And even then it's normally days.

RE: Trailer required - France - Niall - 13-04-2013

Chris have you had one before? If so, next day but you pay big time for it!

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

Rent of a trailer, euro star return, 1200+ miles of traveling.

And a bit of a thankyou for whoever does it, surely it's cheaper to get a dodgy Frenchman to do it.

RE: Trailer required - France - Dum-Dum - 13-04-2013

I have one before but i was only about 14 when i got it, don't know if that makes a difference.

How long will it take if i walk in to the embassy first thing tomorrow morning.

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

Not sure phone and ask.

Sometimes it's same day, but you pay for it, but mostly it takes a while.

RE: Trailer required - France - Toms306 - 13-04-2013

Tomorow's Sunday though, do they work weekends?

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

I doubt it most are closed bar emergency on the weekend.

RE: Trailer required - France - Bengley - 13-04-2013

Okay guys, I can do this. I have no commitments, I have money to get there, and I have a passport. Completely serious, I will drive to Lyon now, as long as someone can cover ferry expenses and some fuel costs. I have a reliable car too so will have no issues in that sense.

07760636264

Ring or text me and I can be on a ferry this evening.

RE: Trailer required - France - Dum-Dum - 13-04-2013

RE: Trailer required - France - Niall - 13-04-2013

Could try and get a hdi head and drive that over to them?

Trailer required - France - Alee83 - 13-04-2013

Or even just the rocker rollers...

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

Yea but what if it does not work, waste of money and time.

RE: Trailer required - France - Bengley - 13-04-2013

If anyone can get all the parts they need, I can pick them up tonight and set off for Lyon. I love an adventure and I've wanted to go to france for a nice drive for a while Smile

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

Roads are pretty fun over there lol.

RE: Trailer required - France - Toms306 - 13-04-2013

As said I've got a complete head here in Ipswich. Not sure if theres anything else they need? It's not really on the way from you to Dover though.

RE: Trailer required - France - 1616six - 13-04-2013

You can hire a beaver tail for under £100 and drive it on a car license. Did it a month or so ago when I bought the blaze '6. I'd do it but I'm in Norfolk so you're looking at £80 in diesel to just get to Dover..

Can you meet me somewhere more south? Anywhere in Essex maybe? I can pick up from there... Chelmsford? Somewhere on the A12?

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

You really need to check if the guys in France want this before you make plans.

RE: Trailer required - France - Toms306 - 13-04-2013

I'm afraid not, A12/A14 junction is as far as I can tbh.

of course, I'm not going anywhere until I have the go ahead, but working stuff out doesn't hurt

RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013

I think unless they getting running, they would prefer someone with a trailer.

Good luck though guys.

I could do that I guess...

RE: Trailer required - France - Toms306 - 13-04-2013

Well if they want it and you're willing to collect (and can't find a more local one) then you're more than welcome to come and get it. Smile
