Oil line block connector - advice needed - silverzx - 20-03-2013

Looking at getting a braided line made up for my T25 and want to check that the spare connector I have is suitable.

Normally the piece that threads into the block is able to slide up and down the line, however I've got one where its been slightly bent so the piece won't move up and down at all (but can spin so will still screw into the thread in the block).

Will this still be ok to use?

You can kind of see what I mean in these photos:

1) Normal connector, can slide up and down line.

2) Comparison, you can see its jammed at end due to a kink in line.

3) Another comparison.

I've tried bending the line back into shape but as its inside of the connector where the damage is it hasn't been possible. I've also tried freeing it up by hitting the piece with a chisel whilst clamping the line.

It's also worth mentioning the car I got it off had a turbo full of oil. That car however ran fine for years and I witnessed the turbo die on it (so I then bought it as spares) so it probably isn't related.

so long as the end flange is ok I cant see an issue....thats where it seals
