Convertible 306 beam fit a estate ? - Leedunn86 - 18-02-2013 Anyone know if the rear beam off a convertible 306 will fit a estate ? Found a 51 plate low milage convertible in the scrap yard just wondered if they are any different ? RE: Convertible 306 beam fit a estate ? - Mattcheese31 - 18-02-2013 i believe they are all interchangeable mate . . If your estae is ph3 it will be a straight swap RE: Convertible 306 beam fit a estate ? - Willo - 18-02-2013 What needs to be swapped if its a phase 2 ?? RE: Convertible 306 beam fit a estate ? - Eeyore - 18-02-2013 The estate will probably have bigger torsion bars in it to handle the load weight! Convertible 306 beam fit a estate ? - Jtrigga - 18-02-2013 Straight fit mate if yours is drum you just need new handbrake cables as its different with disc axles. Ph3 have a different ABS System that dosnt need a brake load sensor. There for the beam doesnt have a load sensor and slightly different lines Ph2 has a ABS system. That needs a load sensor that is attached to the beam and runs aload more lines. Some ph1s / pov spec ph2 have no ABS there for no brake load sensor. But again i think the lines differ from a non load sensor beam because of the ABS. If you handy with the spanners and problem solving you can easily get around this by swapping the lines and brake load mounts about from beam to beam So yeah you just need to swap some lines and the beam/shock/ brake load mount < all one mount RE: Convertible 306 beam fit a estate ? - Willo - 19-02-2013 Oh right I don't have abs on mine but I have a load sensor or what I think is a load sensor anyway |
