Clunk from drivers side - Ben Jay - 23-01-2012

Im getting a clunk from the front drivers side wheel.
This happens when cornering or when loading and unloading the wheel

I'm assuming its a bushing but not sure what one.

Drop link?

Re: Clunk from drivers side - Dan! - 23-01-2012

Droplink would usually be up and down play, like when going over bumps. Sounds to me like either bottom ball joint or wishbone bushes. Could also be an engine mount though, bottom or drivers side could both sound like they are coming from the wheel area but theyre not.

I tought loading and unloading would of been an up and down motion.

i mean for example when you turn left and the weight is on the right and when i brake or slow down for a corner.

Possibly arb bushes..? Only way you'll find out is to get in there and have a look to see if the bushes are perished, it's not like you need to take anything apart to have a look, so get on it. Tongue

yeh get a lil crowbar or similar and have a poke around of the bushes and see what ones have too much play
