So the car is back on the road as of today. Done about 60 miles in it with no problem apart from it having a funny 5 minutes at the fuel station and not starting but it seems fine now. I have enjoyed every mile so far and it makes me realise how much I have missed this car. Will get some pics soon

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Jimbo - 01-09-2013

Yeah had a drive earlier epic turbo epicly quick spooling time. Once shes run in up the fuel/boost reckon u should see fairlt good power from it

Wink

I forgot to say I still have a bit of a problem with the near side rear tyre rubbing on the bumper. I have put 15mm spacers on instead of 20mm but it still does it but not as bad. Bit of a pain as its mostly doing it over bumpy roads and all the roads round my way are bumpy

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Jimbo - 03-09-2013

Sell me the challengers Wink

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Piggy - 03-09-2013

not sure about the wheels. not sure they suit a ph1 so well.

but looks tidy
how is it apart from the rubbing??

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - sam - 03-09-2013

My mate 12mm spacers on the front and it was perfect dude give them a try?

how would front spacers stop a rear tyre rubbing?! Huh

I think the wheels finish the car off really well tbh. It's all be ok so far and I've done over 100 miles Smile

Cheers. Yeah it puts a smile on my face so I think all the work has paid off Smile

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Frosty - 06-09-2013

I seem to have sorted the rear tyre rubbing problem out. Put some 15mm spacers on instead of the 20mm 1s I had on the back and a bit more arch work with a hammer Smile

Going up to Trax on Sunday so the car will get a good run in, hopefully will be problem free

With the wheels I was going to put them on just as silver but after seeing a few 306s with white wheels I felt it had to be done.

Yeah for the gauges I got boost in the pod and EGT, oil temp and pressure in the centre.

As for the wiring for the stereo I found it all reached pretty easy really.

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Piggy - 06-09-2013

got wiring to do in mine tomorrow and wondered if it needed extending...ta Smile

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Frosty - 08-09-2013

So it made it to Trax and back. 320ish mile round trip and never missed a beat. I do need to get my MBC fitted and turn the boost up a bit as it does smoke a bit on boost at the moment.

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Frosty - 09-09-2013

It's seems pretty good. Just need to get the boost turned up more Smile

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Frosty - 11-09-2013

I decided to gov mod the pump tonight after work. I had never done 1 before or had taken a pump apart so it was a good learning curve for me. As usual I got stressed out and felt like giving up but I got it done ok in the end with following Dan's guide on here and a few phone calls to Jimbo. Just now need to set the pump up again though I defo can fell a difference with it now fitted.

I do seem to have a bit of a problem with it holding boost though. It will reach peak boost, just over 20psi at the moment and then it will drop off straight away down to about 15psi. It only seems to have started since I fitted the MBC. Anyone help me out with this?

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Piggy - 11-09-2013

sounds like mbc is sticking or not set quite right. what turbo and mbc is it?

how have you got your turbo actuator set?

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Frosty - 11-09-2013

The turbo is a K03 off an Iveco

The MBC is this 1 off ebay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320679007155?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I got the turbo actuator on about full adjustment as that's the only way I could get it to fit

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Piggy - 11-09-2013

that maybe your issue....the actuator being on full pressure

RE: Frosty's Ph1 Black D Turbo - Tom - 11-09-2013

What do you mean by that? There is some pics of the actuator bolt onto the turbo a few pages back if that helps
