Cheers mate, glad you like it Smile I think there's a picture of the mani on the car further back in the thread because loads of people were asking about it. Il take a pic while the bonnet and screen are out actually since you can see down the back pretty well Smile
Il give you a word to look forward to though, 4 inch pipe haha

I'd love to come see this when I'm back, I'm only in Shropshire! (Shrewsbury)

Can we have a picture of the calipers on the pipe and turbo downpipe rather than the 4" tip as darren requested lol Smile

Yeah defiantly, it's been sat in the garage for a month with no screen or bonnet so will need to get it out, only done 300 miles since the build was finished haha

It's 4 inch from the downpipe all the way under the car then into a 4.25 inch tip squeezed over the end, but yes, I will get pics with the vernier for all you non believers out there haha

il just get rid of it, easier lol, usually on my phone so picture sizes are all messed up anyway so didnt notice how big it was haha

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - CJ_Derv - 15-12-2012

haha where did you get the manifold made up pal? im thinking of gearbox mount with next turb iv in mind

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - ozonehostile - 15-12-2012

its hard to explain lol, basicly a 406 manifold with extra pipes welded on to make a 4 into 1 pipe going into the turbo. il try get a picture as its easier than trying to explain Smile

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - CJ_Derv - 15-12-2012

Ahh i see il have to go look at a 406 manifold and see where to go from there as my mates a fabricator but i need to design it and he can do it then Smile
you need to get this on dyno asap its all well and good with mods but we need to see figuires Smile

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - ozonehostile - 15-12-2012

yeah gearbox mounting is such a massive improvement, opens up a whole new world of turbo options, so even if the pics dont work out il try do a technical drawing of my setup and make a pdf or something.
its got a date with the rolling road on 26th of jan with the midlands meet running the current 9mm fuel pump, then another on 2nd feb which il hopefully be running the 11mm pump ive been building Smile

dont forget the video :b

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - ozonehostile - 16-12-2012

Quick trip over to Swindon today and I finally have a new bonnet. Single skin fibreglass, can't weigh more than a kilogram Smile
[Image: IMAG0523_zps76bfa49a.jpg]

i also attempted to take some better pictures of the downpipe, this one is the join on the turbo:

And this is the route down the bulkhead and under the car
[Image: IMAG0515_zps4744924c.jpg]

Couldnt find any calipers to show the size, but hopefully the pic shows how much of a monster the pipe is Smile

Good news! I found the hd video camera!
Still havnt got the new glass in though....

Great car, good to see some members close to me.

Most forums I join people are miles away.

Hurry and get a video of the beast up!

Since there's been so much interest in my downpipe/manifold setup i was considering getting a proper technical drawing made up and put in a pdf so that people can download it and get their local fabricator to make it. i could probably make a nice bit of business doing it myself but there's no way Id have the time :/

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - karl1989 - 17-12-2012

how much are they to do roughly if you dont mind me asking?

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - ozonehostile - 17-12-2012

free if you happen to have a welder and a load of truck parts knocking about haha
but if you were to get the downpipe made, its quite labour intensive getting the right angles so id guesss about £200-£300 depending on the fabricator and what material you want (stainless steel would be best but is expensive and a bastard to weld, so ££££)
when i have some money I was thinking of getting my current set up re-built all in stainless

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - Birk - 17-12-2012

I could make a manifold, but would be talking a good few hundred or 2

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - ozonehostile - 17-12-2012

i wouldnt even like to think about how much my manifold would cost to reproduce, pipewelding nightmare. downpipes aren't too much of an issue though

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - karl1989 - 17-12-2012

i know a cheap welder just need to get materials and route

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - ozonehostile - 17-12-2012

i might just have to get this drawing made then, as for materials i doubt people would be needing a downpipe as big as mine so the truck exhaust probably wont be necessary, sections of normal car exhaust would do the job if you want to do it on the cheap, just make sure to get the sections heat wrapped as without it the engine bay temperatures shoot up very quickly if your booting it

awesome, glad theres some 306oc members in the same county, especially another white car (pretty jealous of you actually, i was after a white 3 door for ages, never found a decent one so settled for a phase 1 5 door) your right that i havnt seen it around before, ive never seen any modified 306s in herefordshire really apart from a black gti6 that i occasionly see on my way to work, but apart from that nothing

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - ozonehostile - 20-12-2012

il check them out, wont be having anything made for a while yet though, just something I want done in the future Smile

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - bradh511 - 20-12-2012

Cool when you get yours back on the road we will have to go for a little meet up .. do u know anyone selling a a decent Bosch pump in Hereford are or might be a scrappy job so i can get mine converted it ...hi on the to do list lol

RE: White phase 1, now with added truck turbo - ozonehostile - 20-12-2012

not at the moment sorry, give wye valley metals a call, i scrapped a 405 d turbo a few months ago that had a bosch pump, its likely theyl have it still as they break pretty much every car that goes in
