Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Garlicbread - 13-03-2012 Yea just let me know mate. Re: My stage 2 HDi project - silverzx - 13-03-2012 I'd be up for RR if your planning on doing it end of month or next month. Should have FMIC on and with a bit of luck one of Dan's pins. Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Midnightclub - 13-03-2012 RR is tomorrow bud On another note.. it failed its mot ![]() ![]() Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Poodle - 14-03-2012 Ha nice. Ah that's an easy job at least, wouldn't fancy needing to do the mani gasket on my daily - would mean i had to finish it that day so couldn't sack it off if it pissed me off lol. :S Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Midnightclub - 14-03-2012 Yeah, this is my daily lol so anything that gets done has a 1 day time limit lol.. Dyno time tonight! Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Poodle - 14-03-2012 Awesome, get those results up! Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Midnightclub - 14-03-2012 141.1 bhp and 341.8nm with a boost leak.. I'm quite happy with that! Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Midnightclub - 14-03-2012 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fairly pleased with the results too tbh, also have videos of mine, Connor and ruans cars which i'll be putting up soon! Have to say Ruans sounds epic on full chat! Mine didnt sound too shabby either tbh! Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Ruan - 15-03-2012 There will be some controversy over what I say next: Notice on the graph, it says "Driveline Efficiency 95%" - that means your driveline loses 5% power... Which isn't right for an FWD car, mine's identical - i.e. they didn't do a coast down test on the rollers. Which means if you do the maths... 141hp = 105% of the WHP figure... 1% = 141HP/105% 1% = 1.342 * 100% = Wheel Figure = 134.2HP 10% of 134.2 = 13.42 5% of 134.2 = 6.71 Power Loss @ 15% = 20.13 Wheel Figure + 15% Losses = Flywheel = 154.33HP Do the same with the torque figure of 251lb.ft which brings it to 273.7lb.ft torque... Which I'd say is MUCH closer to the actual figures... Generally it's accepted a FWD car will lose about 15%, RWD about 20% and AWD/4WD about 20-25% depending on how it's setup... At least, Dyno Dynamics "Shootout" rollers use these corrections... Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Midnightclub - 15-03-2012 That seems to make a lot of sense, I did wonder why I didn't see any ATW figures on the graph... And from most Hdi dynos I've seen its generally been about 20bhp less ATW than the fly so your maths is pretty spot on Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Ruan - 15-03-2012 If you do mine - 161/105 = 1.53 1.53*100 = 153.333HP ATW Makes much more sense like that... Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Midnightclub - 15-03-2012 Would also explain why connors figure was so low too! Re: My stage 2 HDi project - mark_airey - 15-03-2012 Good result that ![]() Re: My stage 2 HDi project - Midnightclub - 15-03-2012 Cheers mate ![]() Re: My stage 2 HDi project - mark_airey - 15-03-2012 Midnightclub Wrote:Cheers mate I keep wondering what mine is making but knowing my luck, if I put it on a RR it will throw a rod! ![]() Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Midnightclub - 15-03-2012 Get on with it ![]() ![]() Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - 4WayDiablo - 15-03-2012 Lots of torques! 341! Is a lot! Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Ruan - 15-03-2012 That's in NM... That's 251lbft... Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - 4WayDiablo - 15-03-2012 Touché lol didnt notice that :-P Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Midnightclub - 15-03-2012 Although after correction it's closer to 270 like ruan said so still quite a lot of torque ![]() Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - 4WayDiablo - 15-03-2012 Just get a clutch to hold the full fat stage 2 Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Midnightclub - 15-03-2012 I have been thinking about it tbh.. Just need to work out exactly what i'd need and how much it'd cost.. From what i've read the best setup is the DT conversion but with an uprated pressure plate from sachs.. I'm still not entirely sure though tbh Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Midnightclub - 15-03-2012 Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - 4WayDiablo - 15-03-2012 The fan only seems to be on half the time? Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Midnightclub - 15-03-2012 4WayDiablo Wrote:The fan only seems to be on half the time? Yeah for some stupid reason unknown to any of us it only kicked in at a certain RPM which is stupid as the inlet system is effectively not intercooled until the fan kicks in! I reckon it would've been higher if it'd been kept on the whole time Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Poodle - 18-03-2012 Lovely sound quality there mate... Good results though, even if the dyno place was a bit half-baked. I would say though, that this is my one issue with stage 2 HDi's - zero drama. 150something bhp and it looks less exciting on boost than a standard dt with a t2... Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Midnightclub - 18-03-2012 Yeah.. it was f*cking loud there so the sound quality is shit haha.. I know what you mean but tbh I just love the way it drives atm Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Midnightclub - 20-04-2012 ![]() [attachment=0] That is all... Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - samass - 20-04-2012 mmmm phase 2 six.... Re: My stage 2 HDi project (Dyno results inside!) - Jacko - 20-04-2012 more pics or GTFO.. |
