Twinkle twinkle...

Yea not a good look I don't think, they look smart just in full silver finish, possibly with a polished lip if you can be bothered with the maintenance that brings with it.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 23-03-2012

Can't be bothered with the maintenance. But the good thing is if I get bored, it will only take a few seconds to go back to silver.

Note it's gold, red and green colour changing.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - KrisB - 23-03-2012

And the next template i make is going to be much better and clean cut.... thats only the one wheel done as a trial run.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 23-03-2012

Bit annoying was suppose to be going to kris's tomorrow, but called it off due to suspension parts not turning up in time.

However I have just been told they were returned today to my old place of work.

So next weekend is when all the fun begins.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 24-03-2012

So this morning I finished off the roof lining and other bits, it's not great but it will do.

Then moved on to the indicator last on the way home it just stopped working, so this morning took the stalk out cleaned it but that was not the problem, fuse blown so changed the fuse, went for a drive and it blew again, so changed it for a bigger fuse and all is ok

Then these turned up.

Along with my refurbed Gaz GHA, need a good clean but since they will only get dirty again why bother. They are for sale by the way.

Everything there to fit them?
The adjusters all work and everything?

I'll let you know this evening if that's ok, got to check funds Smile

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 24-03-2012

Yea all there. If you have non standard top mounts you will need two sleeve nuts for the top of the coilovers.

Yea all still working.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 04-04-2012

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 04-04-2012

Parents house, dog and house sitting which means hot tub lol.

Hopefully this weekend = wheels, pads, vinyl, aero catches and back to my better top mounts if all goes to plan since the the last two weeks have not I am not keep up much hope.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Grant - 04-04-2012

Surely you want to find out why that fuse was blowing before just wedging a bigger one in?

Grant Wrote:Surely you want to find out why that fuse was blowing before just wedging a bigger one in?
Now that just isn't the Peugeot way...

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Grant - 04-04-2012

No but the wiring that will iminantly start a fire, causing you to watch your pride and joy go up in flames is lol

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 04-04-2012

Good it deserves to go up in a cloud of smoke. Plus as Phil says its not the French way.

It was fine before removing the roof lining. Just started when I put it back in.

What else is on the same circuit as the indicators switch?

The hazards worked just not the indicators.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - mark_airey - 05-04-2012

You have a busy weekend ahead then lol

I so want to see this with the Borbets on!

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 06-04-2012

So a pretty good bank holiday Friday. Headed of to Kris's with a few jobs in mind.

To being with a small stroke of luck with the luck garage being open even though they said they would closed. Dropped bot sets of alloys to get the tyres swapped over.

Then started the other little jobs, first the new 1155 mintex pads, Great pads, work well from cold and stop really well when warm.

Then back to the old top mounts which is nice, had a small issue with a washer but it was sorted in the end.

Then the aero catches, more work than you would expect but got there in the end, and I think work really well.

Then the roof, nothing like a bit of vinyling to finish the day.

As you can see a slight change to the alloys, might change this but its ok for now. Car needs to raised at the front some more as the wider alloys are making the wheels rub on the drivers side.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - 4WayDiablo - 06-04-2012

Looks really weird the changing colour caps
But my got it looks f*cking awesome on borbets!

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - darrenjlobb - 07-04-2012

Hm, I'm afraid to say that it doesn't look as good as I had hoped it would Sad But then I guess that's my fault for having to high expectations heh, still looks good though,

Is your paint flatted down in those photos or something?

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 07-04-2012

Yea paint has been flatten.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - ginge191 - 07-04-2012

not too impressed with them, they're nice wheels but they just look quite dull Sad

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Atterz - 07-04-2012

Not being funny about the fuse but JPs actually caught fire, indicator stalk that is. You really dont want that! O and i love the headlining!

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - aggyj17 - 07-04-2012

I do like the car with the borbets on. But realy not a fan of the centre caps

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - darrenjlobb - 07-04-2012

Tbh I think half the problem is maybe its just no where near low enough to pull them off at the moment? And needs to be polished up / wheels polished up to....

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - cwspellowe - 07-04-2012

Height on the Borbets is ok, the different coloured centre caps look gash though. Would look immense if the centres/spokes were gunmetal/anthracite and the lips white imo

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Atterz - 07-04-2012

Also with regards to the aerocatches, do you still use the standard bonnet catch/safety catch?

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 07-04-2012

No normal catch is gone.
