RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - ginge191 - 16-02-2013 fuel lines and injectors bought this morning - cool story brothers... Just need clutch and cambelt kit then we're away! ![]() RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - ginge191 - 24-02-2013 So as many may know, the car took a fairly big dent the other evening as a deer ran out in font and caused some damage. Got to the scrapyard and found a radiator, fans and one headlight. So i began by stripping the useless parts ![]() And yes, you can see it's begging for an engine change... so guess what we did ![]() ... we continued to fit the rad and headlight ![]() Oh and also " FIX " the dented bonnet ![]() RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - Niall - 24-02-2013 Glad to see your making the most of it! Lucky it hasnt bent any non removable panels. If you thought 306s were bad in a crash, they are like a tank compared to a 205! PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - Jtrigga - 25-02-2013 Glad to see that it's all coming back together saw your status on fb thought it was game over at least it's all changeable things and you've got cracking straight away. RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - strictly_perv - 25-02-2013 I gave a a thorough check and it's not structural, purely cosmetic. The top slam panel wasn't even bent! Built like tanks these lol RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - ginge191 - 25-02-2013 Apart from the bumper mount ![]() It's good, I guess, it good it took a full front hit rather than a more sideways hit; replacing those front quarters are a nightmare RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - ginge191 - 27-02-2013 Update in regards to the PPC challenge itself. I was unsure whether the repairs to the car would have to be counted in the receipt. Message from a PPC admin: PPC Wrote:As for budget: as long as the repairs are not performance upgrades then don't include it. If you bought a car cheap because it was damaged then the repairs would need to be included. So the challenge is still on!!!! ![]() RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - darrenjlobb - 27-02-2013 (25-02-2013, 09:11 AM)strictly_derv Wrote: Built like tanks these lol Uve gotta be joking haha, the 205 is the most tin can on wheel spec car I know, total deathtrap without a cage!! CBA with a grill ![]() old bumper mount was fooooked so needed to make some kind of bodge mount for the bumper.. old and new ![]() ![]() Then prepped the bumper and valance, max had a spare one which is a bonus, but unfortunately on a 5 door nad it looks quite barry.. ![]() ![]() ![]() BUT at least it's back on the road and keeping me going! RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - ginge191 - 16-03-2013 Small update on this purchased cambelt, water pump and tensioners, should be in the post soon. Got a bosch ( from max  ) and going to get that gov'd and fitted once everything starts arriving. Also got a little something from the scrapyard; it's a decent size, decent ports so should be all round a snug fit ![]() ![]() RE: PPC Challenge car - 205 1.9XUD TD25VNT - Poodle - 16-03-2013 Hahah snap! Thts crazy.. it is a budget build; a slimline fan for £30 won't push the bank luckily. I'm not sure how you've never come to a 20 minute queue and not had yours fans kick in, my DT has always done this.. And don't fancy risking over heating and long term damage for the sake of a fan |
