for the small saving i'll stick to veg and be legal thanks, iirc it's a 600 quid fine and that's it, someone i know got done recently, now if they ever made veg ilegal hmmmm that may be a different matter...

It is possible to wash the dye out if red diesel (and still sell it for less than what a petrol station charges) as some criminal gangs do this to make money.
However
Customs and Excise can still tell if its washed red diesel even though it looks white.
