RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 14-12-2012

Got my custom brass handbrake sleeve and gear knob, but unfortunately he made me the wrong style gear knob. Correct on should be here tomorrow.

Should ease shifting though with the weight of the thing!

Here's the handbrake:

RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 14-12-2012

Gigity!!!

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-12-2012

Got the correct number today:

Sorry for the shitty low light phone pic, I really like it though

So now got the above, the handbrake sleeve, gear gaiter, handbrake gaiter, upper gear boot thingy, steering wheel, top mounts and coilovers to go on...

RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 16-12-2012

You best hurry up and fit them, you might want to decat the car after what i saw yesterday aswell, here's a quick guide

Haha, there was definitely a decrease in performance with it fitted.

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 14-01-2013

Well, about time I updated this I suppose...

First of all, whacked the coilovers on.

Which all went fine apart from these little buggers:

Which took some fair "persuasion" but got there in the end with the aid of PlusGas.

Old vs new, think they may have been leaking somewhat...

Shock-less:

Fitted:

Rears are basically the same t look at (although easier to fit) so I won't bother.

Set it randomly with an inch of thread left, to see what it sat like.

Turns out, that was pretty spot on:

RE: Project Babyliss - samass - 14-01-2013

RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 14-01-2013

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 14-01-2013

What do we have here?

Aw yeah.

Out comes the arch roller...

And they're on...

Snowwwy

Unhappy face

Mustache

Cheers man, I rather love it Big Grin

Will love it more when it stops eating it's own arches

RE: Project Babyliss - Scott - 14-01-2013

That looks epic! Those wheels really set it off.

Now I really want one lol

RE: Project Babyliss - Niall - 14-01-2013

I hate these with a passion.

But them wheels do set it off rather nicely.

[attachment=4352]

Is that on the interior of the car? looks rather rusty!

Cheers Scott, you know you wanna Wink. Honestly it's so much fun, and now every time I look at it it makes me smile...

And yeah I love the wheels, took some work to get them on though... (Well still in progress actually).

Forgot to add, this turned up today:

Also, definitely needs a decat now...

And a picture John took of the lows as I was pulling out of the greenhouse:

I suspect Matt have one of me after getting beached on a speedbump too...

The top mounts are in the boot... and yeah the top mounts were rusty, the boot floor however is just dirt.

RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 14-01-2013

My phone is so rubbish at taking photos.

You will love the sound of a bigger exhaust. You had the chance to find if is has a cat of the non feline kind yet? Seeing yours is tempting me to put mine back on the road with that standard setup.

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 14-01-2013

Hehe it's still a cool one!

Yeah I hope so haha, I do miss the offensiveness of the '6 when I'm in it... No I haven't yet, hopefully tomorrow (if it stays dry) I'll get it up in the air and maybe fit the exhaust. I'm hoping it doesn't have one...

It'd be awesome if yours was... Although aren't you nearly there now?

Forgot to say the exhaust has worrying battle scars on the mid pipe... I get a bad feeling with my lows lol
