Yep, Golf all sorted. Dodgey MAF sensor and thermostat meaning it would never warm up. Managed to work around the issues by mapping out the MAF sensor and changing some tables in the ECU for the thermostat. I wish people brought me cars that worked!! :p

No worries man, he was fine. He's just a retard, 11 years old, past his maximum life expectancy, riddled with arthritis and yet he still runs through the undergrowth like a 3 month pup, and with his dodgy cataracty eyesight it usually ends badly. Just glad he's enjoying his twilight years, been my best mate since I was 16
