Tbh Mate that's a shit way to look at it. How would you suggest they buck their ideas up?
Most people forget that it might be hard in this country, but others have got it a lot worse. And before you say "most other countries don't pay as much for fuel as we do, they pay that tax in other forms!

Re: £1.50 a litre here we come :( - Kezzieboy - 28-02-2012

Forget immigration and benefits, that's pennies. What needs to be sorted is the tax avoidance by businesses (vodaphone, Goldman Sachs, The Arcadia Group under Philip Greene etc. etc.) who refuse to pay up, and then the government sees fit just to write them off. Nonsense.

And the whole paying tax in other ways thing, I'd love to live in Finland/Sweden, socialism at work!

Re: £1.50 a litre here we come :( - Niall - 28-02-2012

Yeah completely agree with you kezz we do need to start coming down on these companies.
Sweden might be better but then people like us in Sweden would moan that a driving test normally costs silly amounts of money to pass and you have to have at least 2 years learning. Every country will have its pros and cons. Just seems people only see the cons!

Thanks Matt, might have to make a trip to basingstoke(my nearest) and get some. Do I have to be a trader?

we need it too much! lol
but what would maybe work is boycotting a fuel company,, they would see declining customers and lower the price
then others would have to lower to match
theory is there anyway

Theory is there. Wouldn't work though. How many people do you think would turn to violence to get cheaper fuel. It would just turn into another riot

Re: £1.50 a litre here we come :( - Pompey306mark - 29-02-2012

Soon it will cost so much that no one can afford to drive.

Its mad, glad I kept my diesel and intent to stay that way as it will only keep going up and up.

I give it three years before we are seeing £2.00 at litre.
