Wrong. Xtype dervs are a peugeot engine (or Lion engine as jag call them as i can't imagine people are too impressed by buying a premium car with a cheap engine in it lol) Edit: By the way, like the new title under your name lol RE: Another which car thread - swampy - 24-10-2013 (24-10-2013, 09:04 AM)Just Sean Wrote:(24-10-2013, 08:58 AM)Jonny81191 Wrote: Must have the Bentley look a like bits on it though RE: Another which car thread - Ruan - 24-10-2013 (24-10-2013, 09:10 AM)Niall Wrote:(24-10-2013, 08:48 AM)Ruan Wrote: Jag Xtype diesels are the old Ford zsd puma shit box engine, they smoke like lady gardens because they always invariably have f*cked EGR valves... Err, no they aren't... They're the Puma ZSD... I know my shit... They use the 2.0 and 2.2 Puma ZSD - same as the Mk3 Mondeo... And they definitely are a smoky, unreliable pos lol. I don't know, so busy trolling you forgot to shout saab repeatedly. ![]() RE: Another which car thread - Midnightclub - 24-10-2013 Also from wikipedia.. "Ford introduced the Duratorq ZSD-422, a 2.2 L (2184 cc) turbodiesel for top-of-the-range versions of the Mondeo and Jaguar X-Type which produced 155 PS (153 hp/114 kW). This is unrelated to the PSA DW12 2.2 unit used in Peugeot and Citroën applications." He wasn't happy with it I don't think. I was happy with the power, just not the fact that it felt much slower than it was, was stupidly thirsty and riddled with expensive electrical faults, and was just fairly boring in every way even with a 210bhp map. I enjoy driving my old DT far more! Mine was a mk1 1.8T though. RE: Another which car thread - Seb_Ryan - 24-10-2013 Dont octavias have problems within the dials? And the whole car wont work? Something with the immob RE: Another which car thread - Ruan - 24-10-2013 Mk1s do IIRC? Saab would actually be ideal for you I reckon, genuinely. But you know my opinion on them. lol RE: Another which car thread - C.A.R. - 24-10-2013 Saab is just recycled GM stuff, I'd only ever have one if it was very cheap (ie cheaper than the equivalent Vauxhall). The Alfa I posted is a GT - a coupe. It's still FWD so it's no BMW, but it looks much nicer and has a nice shape, if a little bit of a fat ass. RE: Another which car thread - Dicky - 24-10-2013 autodelta is sexy as f*ck. RE: Another which car thread - Jake - 24-10-2013 Surely that alfa isn't I budget! =/ might have to see if any dealers fancy taking the golf for one! The saab thing was serious, i think vaughan would love one, it'd suit him too. And there's not much wrong with the gm saabs, just means the parts are a lot easier/cheaper to find and you don't have the stigma of being a vauxhall owner/driver. My old boss has a 2008 93 (so a GM era one) and it wasn't built that well inside at all really! Admittedly, he never had any issues with it i don't think but it just didn't feel that solid. RE: Another which car thread - C.A.R. - 25-10-2013 There are quite a few sub-80,000 mile Alfa Romeo GT diesels for sale for less than £4k I was pretty shocked to be honest! Check what they're like for tax and fuel, maybe check out the Parkers website too. RE: Another which car thread - Dum-Dum - 25-10-2013 On the subject of Alfas you could have a Brera with the 2.4JTDM engine (200bhp) for less than £5500 if you stretched your budget and car that is just porn. ![]() RE: Another which car thread - Poodle - 25-10-2013 No, they're overweight, have a fatter arse than certain meganes and have successfully re-established alfas traditional reliability reputation over night.
