Get one from the scrappy! Smile

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Foxy-jim - 01-02-2012

Ok. What models have them or is it random?

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 01-02-2012

I got mine off ebay. But not seen many around. Most are for the petrol verisons with the ECU behind the battery.

You should be able to find one for yours though.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Foxy-jim - 01-02-2012

Ye I can't use one with a ecu cover though as my strut brace is in the way!

Did a 1.6 have the ecu bit? I can't remember

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Foxy-jim - 01-02-2012

A phase 3 may do!

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 11-02-2012

Right so today my new alloys arrived, just need a clean, and then need to refurb them. Different colour, not sure which one yet or if I should do them two tone like a coloured face and different colour dish.

Also bought a new smaller battery yesterday but with more power. Just need to change the priming bulb (hand grenade for Ginge). So it hopefully starts better in the morning.

you know im right

those wheels aer going to look awesome mate, perhaps keep a silver shine to the outher wheel, and on the inner, stick to your guns with white. think that would look real smart!

Are they borbets? Keep the lip polished!

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - cwspellowe - 11-02-2012

Black centre, blue lip ftmfw!

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 11-02-2012

Yes they are borbets, the lip is not polished at the moment it looks more like a light blue paint in person.

I also have some aero catches on the way as I am fed up of my bonnet being uneven as the latch is messed up.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Foxy-jim - 11-02-2012

Well polish it up then! And do them like lime green centres haha.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - 4WayDiablo - 13-02-2012

Lime green centres? On a blue car? Nahh would loom good white. But vlack would match the bonnet

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 14-02-2012

Going to do away with the standard bonnet locking system and use these instead.

See if we can get the bonnet lined up correctly.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Atterz - 14-02-2012

Ive been thinking about a set of them as well Mark, the standard bonnet system is a joke. Let me know how you get on!

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 14-02-2012

Will do. If I can get all my parts before the end of the month will try and get everything fitted soon.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Foxy-jim - 15-02-2012

How much cutting is involved in fitting them?

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 15-02-2012

just the size of the plate in the bonnet.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Foxy-jim - 15-02-2012

Shouldn't be too bad then!

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 15-02-2012

Just ordered some shiney new things. Need to get these alloys sorted soon really want them on the car and sell all the car thats in the garage. Hopefully while finding a job at the same time lol

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 20-02-2012

So since the employment thing is is not going very well, I thought I would spend a bit of time on the car. So out came the sand paper and warm water and I went to work til I got cold hands and ran out of sand paper. A few areas to go over then the roof and front bumper.

Hopefully next week my parts should be here, so can get those fitted.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Seid' - 20-02-2012

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 20-02-2012

Yep g3 next after a bit more sanding.

borbets are 16 and i believe 7j.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Foxy-jim - 20-02-2012

Will this bring the shine out a bit more?

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Pompey306mark - 20-02-2012

Yea then the vinyl will hide it after lol.

Re: Mark's smoothed 306 with added extras. - Foxy-jim - 20-02-2012
