Far too true Big Grin

But I may want it for something in the future ninja

RE: Project Babyliss - Poodle - 16-11-2012

All i think when i see those spoilers is "fat arse", really don't do it for me lol.

Nice though Curt, look forward to seeing this mate.

RE: Project Babyliss - samass - 16-11-2012

Should deffo get one of those bfo racing spoilers, mint Wink

RE: Project Babyliss - Scott - 16-11-2012

I actually prefer the larger spoiler. Also FFS the last few on this page make me want one lol

RE: Project Babyliss - Dum-Dum - 16-11-2012

Damn you making me want a MX5.

Have you seen the ones with ford and chevvy V8s fitted. that would go well.

The V8's aren't all 'that' in terms of outright speed, what you want is a turbocharged one or a supercharged one. Many kits exist, like the Jackson Racing SC kit and there are adapter brackets so you can use the supercharger from a BINI Coooper S.

Turbo's are sweeter though, one chap had his running at 300bhp+ on standard internals. Everyone said it would blow up before long. It hasn't.

Runs 12s quarters and is an absolute animal, think the bloke has spent around £4k in total!

Also worth note that the MX5 race team around the corner went to a track day and killed a V8 MX5 in their 1.6 NA!

Haha, each to there own! I think it adds something extra and makes them a bit more aggressive... Which isn't a bad thing lol

Cheers man, come have a nose at some point Smile

Good for the noise, as is anything with a V8... but nah I'm sticking with a DIY blower

Gave it a quick wash, swear it hadn't been cleaned in a good couple of years...

With Matt trying to hide in the shed:

Then mopped the wing before it got dark:

RE: Project Babyliss - cwspellowe - 18-11-2012

I need an MX5 in my life tbh. sleepy eye conversion, low and wide, blended ducktail spoiler..

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 18-11-2012

Very much my plans tbh, down to the blended ducktail. Although I didn't win the one on eBay, went for what I considered too much when I have other priorities first. Like a clutch... and coilovers

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 20-11-2012

Some shinies are on their way ninja

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 22-11-2012

What do we have here?

RE: Project Babyliss - cwspellowe - 22-11-2012

Well? What's in the box?

And f*ck your couch, do you copy everything I do including the plans for the hairbrush?

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 22-11-2012

Hate to break it to you Chris, but I don't think you're the first to have those plans for an MX lol

What else have I copied you on?! Apart from the a-pillars but that was your own fault.

RE: Project Babyliss - cwspellowe - 22-11-2012

RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 23-11-2012

Can't say I could see curt living the life as a scot! Haha

Nah it's too hilly and everyone talks funny.

Erm, yeah, about that... erm......

Sorted out my shitshift, all replaced with new OEM parts and sooo much better. Just got a couple more bits to fit that I just picked up from Mazda, then I can fit my new gaiters. Hoping to get a custom machined gear knob and handbrake sleeve too, but can't decide. Aluminium or brass? Kinda like the brass... plus weightier too

RE: Project Babyliss - cwspellowe - 23-11-2012

JDM dildo ftw. Think outside of the box...

RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 23-11-2012

Finally shorted the shitshift? What was the issue in the end? How come it was soooo fuckered

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 26-11-2012

Yeah man, it was just shit lol. I was missing a few bits from that standard one I bought, so had to go to Mazda.

Bought this little lot:

Fitted:

Now got a new upper boot to fit with insulation, plus gear and handbrake gaiters.

Looking to fit the spare hood ASAP now, as lets just say it's not as rain proof as one would hope in the current weather...

RE: Project Babyliss - sam - 26-11-2012

Nice lil project dude ive driven a few at work, got to say there not the biggest of cars as I have to ask the owner if they could put the roof down haha they look epic stanced Big Grin ill be keeping an eye on this chap

RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 28-11-2012
