Sunny this evening...so did a bit cosmetically to the old gal...while I wait for a belt.
Got numberplate lights done and numberplates. Made a huge difference on the look of it. So much neater.
Pair of genuine peugeot numberplate fittings, covers and lamps £5.70 delivered! Win. £18 for both plates.
Also debadge rear and sides.
Also fitted little trim under handbrake, the cowling around the steering column which was missing and properly fitted the stereo which was just slotted in.

Also on list for next couple days is fit the new aux belt, yet to arrive, fit brand new pirrelli and the 10mm fuel lines...banjo also arrived:

Made mistake of ordering m14x1.5 banjo/bolt for the bosch inlet...need a m12. Silly tom306 for saying m14 on a very old thread i found in archives! Teach me for being lazy and not just measuring it.
So 10mm lines will have to wait their completion till next week.
Then hope to sort the loom(fixing rpm issue), fit the mint steering wheel that arrived today from Jonny, gut the cat and do a decent job of the exhaust and its ready to go.
Found this while cleaning the pickup.....worst I've ever seen...
Trickiest bit of fitting the 10mm line...donated from the racetractor is at least done...

Having "issues" trying to get the rpm gauge to work...
But got some touch ups done on the back end:
Also fitted a "mint" steering wheel...its not so much but its better than the old one!
Exhaust next... May have to leave the rpm gauge issue to another day...the new owner loves wiring diagrams...so he can enjoy that one!

Oh yeah...r/c/l didnt work. Dont have the card either to recode unfortunately

So a genuine item arrived today...all be it, only one, they sending another, their fault. Mist jets...third times a charm?
Anton said get the one that say "fiat" and sure enough I did and they were sealed in a genuine fiat/lancia packet.
But fitted to right side...note the spray difference.
Also rebodged the bodged exhaust.
Now has a center box and a center box as a back box.
Now doesnt vibrate or look like it will go puff in orange dust
And a money shot... Little low at back due to boot of tools.
Got a aux belt to refit, tmic, clocks back in as cannot seem to get rpm going...
Then its wait for owner to collect...if I have a moment i may do a diy quickshift and gut the cat

So had go ahead to finally black mask front lights. That and the cat being gutted and quick wash and my work here will be done...
Till we (I) build a rather epic ultimate onthecheap reliable veg burning engine and we fmic that.

Also laquered the black on the rear lights...once its fully cured I'll flat it and polish then should blend in with the glass a little better

Aye...
Doing the lights inc paint, laquer and some silicone cost about £6 as didnt use more than half a can of black, quick coat of laquer and some cheap silicone.

Flushed the fuel system..pumped it dry and then added 5 litres of petrol...pumped dry...
Then added 20litres of white derv and had the return draining from pump till it came out clear.
Also...home brew quickshift.reduced throw by 20mm and it cost... £0.00. Just a piece of metal tube I got for free at metal merchants, big of grinder and welding. Win

I don't see the point in changing some working bulbs that will blow at some point for some more working bulbs that will blow at some point.
Surprising what you can do on that budget though.
