Email me on kyler000@hotmail.com RE: (TheSedanFather) 306 Straight d Sedan - NaughtonGAA - 09-11-2016 Soooo Car has been going the very best since the last update, with Test coming up in January i decided to start and get a few annoying bits done out of the way. First off is new pads and discs, did rear shoes with axle before i put the car on the road, so front needed doing. Surprisingly everything came away really easy considering how io got the car in the beginning and hadn't touched them yet. Next i set about wiring up my fogs. Having had no fogs originally i picked up a stalk a few months back and just recently set about wiring them in. Wired the fogs to a switch put in a relay and fuse and bang away they went, makes all the difference driving narrow roads at night. Next on the list was to add a FMIC I used a Universal kit off amazon identical to this one. I would be using an intercooler i had lying around. This was the original plan, and when i put it on the car it just did not look right so it was soon rectified. About Halfway there The finished product under the bonnet. I removed the fans and extended the radiator backets back about 2 inches to allow my pipes to slide down the front of the radiator. It is a bit out there but hopefully ill be able to make it a bit more subtle with a PH3 bumper. All in all it only really cost me about 90 quid 70 for the piping kit and clamps and 20 quid for a slimline fan. which i have no pictures of at the moment. But got it out and on the road with no boost leaks so i decided to really test it and upped the boost went as far as 1.9 Bar or roughly 28psi and it held fine without blowing any pipes off. Overall doing the FMIC was probably as hard as i expected it to be took a few hours one night and a couple the next morning. The kit itself was great but not perfect. I needed 4 3inch Mikalor clamps for the Intercooler itself aswell as reducers to bring it to 2.25 inch piping. I made the adapter myself, had to cut one of the 180 degree bends, twist it and weld it back up and cut one of the straight bits at an angle to get it into the intercooler itself. But apart from all that it was a pretty much bolt on deal. Made up 2 brackets for holding the intercooler in place, which isnt really needed as the pipes hold it solid enough.
