the pump arrived on a cradle that i just assmued was the correct one. has any one got both cradles to hand and take a picture of the differences?

the only difference is the position of the pump mounting studs, that is it!

Re: Bosch Idle Problems with smoke - Ben Jay - 30-04-2012

do you have a LUCAS one there?? if you do compare them, are the studs in the same holes as the Lucas one?? if they are then its the wrong bracket, if they aren't then its the correct bracket, mystery solved...............at the end of the day the bracket's are identical aside from the position of the studs!

Your really not forthcoming with information are you lol

Re: Bosch Idle Problems with smoke - Ben Jay - 30-04-2012

could not replacing the injector seals be a cause?

Re: Bosch Idle Problems with smoke - Ruan - 30-04-2012

You'd know about that, you'd hear a "chuffing" noise from the injector seating area.

If you want, get some soapy water and pour it around the injector seat area, see if it bubbles.

Re: Bosch Idle Problems with smoke - Ben Jay - 30-04-2012

well they are only 38p each so going to replace them any way

Surely it would be a good idea to wait until you can act on responses rather than ask every random combination that it could possibly be?
