RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - Poodle - 31-01-2015 Hell knows why anyone has been using a reamer, its nothing like a tap lol. As Matt says, just change the things lol, don't know how this got so complicated. RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - JTaylor2005 - 31-01-2015 Haha okie dokie lol RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - JTaylor2005 - 31-01-2015 Well I have changed them now. What do you guys reckon to the 2nd one across haha. All white and powdery. RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - JTaylor2005 - 01-02-2015 Anyone have any ideas? Its got me kinda worried now haha. Someone said it could be a cracked cylinder head leaking up the glow plug hole :/ RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - DeeTurbo - 01-02-2015 If it was leaking up the glow plug it would be black. I wouldn't worry about it. Does it start and idle a bit better now when cold? RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - JTaylor2005 - 01-02-2015 Seemed too a little. It has quite a habbit of being very diesel knocky this car. Whether its because its been a city car all its life and just got sooted up tonnes I have no idea haha Definitly less smoke on start up RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - DeeTurbo - 01-02-2015 Diesel knock you say that is a bit strange, could you do a video? Just had another look at those plugs and I would say 2 and 4 had stopped working. RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - JTaylor2005 - 02-02-2015 I have got a video just uploading it now RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - JTaylor2005 - 02-02-2015 View My Video Here it is. Sorry if it looks funny. No idea what happened there RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - Toms306 - 02-02-2015 Diesels all knock... That sounds perfectly fine to me. That white soot is often on injectors as well, wouldn't worry about it tbh. Its just ash...like the stuff DPFs are full of. RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - JTaylor2005 - 02-02-2015 Ahhh awesome thats good to know then cheers guys RE: Changing Glow Plugs? - DeeTurbo - 02-02-2015 Yep sounds ok to me to.
