Re: is it worth putting a induction kit on a hdi?????? - Midnightclub - 16-04-2012 Company called online-autosport does do them but they are around £100 Re: is it worth putting a induction kit on a hdi?????? - Toms306 - 16-04-2012 £50 one there! :o http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-306-2 ... 519ed51a5d Plus they also sell them for 'other marques' ![]() http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-MK4-1 ... 3f163acefb Re: is it worth putting a induction kit on a hdi?????? - Midnightclub - 16-04-2012 That one which is £50 is there new range, they used to do them in SS for £100.. Tbh that's the cheapest i've seen a straight fit decat pipe for a HDi though Re: is it worth putting a induction kit on a hdi?????? - Kezzieboy - 16-04-2012 Longlife did mine in stainless, with a lifetime guarantee, for £80 IIRC. And I sold my pattern (read:worthless) cat for a tenner too. Re: is it worth putting a induction kit on a hdi?????? - Mr Whippy - 18-04-2012 That one for £50 looks horrible. Even the expensive one looks a bit crap. How hard is it to just make a pattern of bends, mark up your pipe, and then make a whole batch with a mandrel bender in a decent bore size? My 2p, find a GTi6/2.0i/1.8 16v downpipe and use that... they have the same flange to mate up with the turbo, and they are large bore and super smooth! Dave Re: is it worth putting a induction kit on a hdi?????? - Poodle - 19-04-2012 Shhhhh! ![]() Heh Dave speaks truth, if i had my own welder i'd be doing this already, someone's got to want that there gap in the market..? Re: is it worth putting a induction kit on a hdi?????? - Mr Whippy - 19-04-2012 A decent mild steel de-cat section that is super smooth and large bore would help with things, especially on a higher powered stage 2 or stage 3 tuning set up! Any little kink or constriction is gonna cost you power... Dave |
