I used to speed everywhere, the moment I slowed down was when I got pulled by the police doing 60mph through town. He also in a way told me he was following me a while to which I was doing 115mph! Undecided
Luckily he noticed the bollocking I got had done the job!

I doubt it would be too far off. I cant rememebr what I had out my 1.4 but ut was nippy. It was my first car a mk1 mondeo (my dad paid £100 for it).

RE: First day on the road! - Toms306 - 29-05-2014

Lol, you can 'just' top 100 in a 1.4 306, but no more lol.

I hope it gets a little quicker it's very slow pulling away in first and second so it's hard pulling out into traffic and roundabouts Sad I think the lambda sensor is going?

Same as Kent, i calmed right down after i got caught speeding. Calmed down even more now i have a tracker on my work car.
When you first pass, a lot of people think they know it all and they are indestructible. They aren't. Im sure your getting bored of hearing this but please do take note. Don't let mates peer pressure you into doing things. Its your licence and ultimately your life!

Yeah as niall said, don't listen to friends if you feel they're pushing you or distracting you tell them to walk. :-) they'll soon shut up. :-)
Take everything as a learning curve :-) you wont always be lucky.

If your car feels a bit slow then when you come french car show as niall very nicely to plug it into his laptop if hes bringing it.

I remember being able to fill the tank of my Mini for £17 back in 2003...it takes over £90 to fill my Mondeo now.

I'm quite lucky compared to some.. I've driven like a rick c0ck at times and never had a crash in 6 and a half years of driving.. though I do have a motor sport license and was doing events at 15 so a few extra years haha.

Once I came close to writing my ph1 off, round a tight roundabout at 60, saw police at junction to side, tried to brake and lost the back end, got it back lost it again and spun it, then all of a sudden I'm facing the wrong way on the road with the police in front of me.

Proper brown trouser moment, my mate didn't have his seat belt on either so all I could see in the mirror was him sliding back and forth haha

I use to race too! I raced go karts and had a few tests in a formula V car so I have a few years driving experience Smile haha that must have been such a shit moment, not only spinning but having the police see the whole thing
