As for Wingnutz comment about exploring, not sure you'd be allowed/able to without dieing.

Whoa that's cool but sure I want to go there yet. Very eerie indeed

I went to Auschwitz and that has a humbling experience to walk around where millions died and to walk around a small extermination chamber

Just over a million died at auschwitz. But I bet it's still humbling.

Would really like to go to both these places.

I could never do this! I find it so creepy scares the live out of me.
Read the gamers post it's humbling just looking at pictures.
I remember the mission on call of duty, bar far the best mission in all the games. :-)
I'd love to do it but don't think I could.

it really was Mark, the magnitude of what you saw didnt hit you until the day after - it looks like a really good film set !

it was mad to think under the "work will set you free" gates, hundreds of thousands of people walked in and left dead.

I strongly recommend you get your arse over to poland asap before Auschwitz 2 & 3 dissapear, its falling apart and there are no funds to stop the decay - nothing will be there in a few years. If you want to see pics i could send you a link to mine?

RE: Chernobyl & Pripyat - Dum-Dum - 05-03-2014

I so need to get a passport.

RE: Chernobyl & Pripyat - Pompey306mark - 05-03-2014

I went to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp a few years ago, very eerie place. I don't recall seeing any birds or wildlife at all just silence.

Would love to go to Chernobyl, don't think the missus would though. Some decent pics here-

I still don't see the attraction. If I want to see a decaying, polluted wasteland of a city, I'll go to Bradford...
