I'd love a Datsun 510, but I'd be suprised if you can find one let alone get one for a grand! There's so few in the UK

Datsuns just remind me of forza 4..

Escort for a grand? No chance mate, even an anglia would be rotten for that money (assuming you mean the 105e, the 100e you might get a decent project for that)

RE: Classic car - silverzx - 21-03-2013

Whatever it is, drop a xud in. :p

RE: Classic car - Willo - 21-03-2013

the absolute most fun you can have on 4 wheels, easy to work on, parts are cheap, epic to drive.

ive had loads so far and recently bought another 2 as projects that im building up to full rally spec to use in competition

This awesome fun once there sorted Cool

i have a 76 mini in the garage if your feeling brave Big Grin

I've seen rubber bumper MGB GTs for around that price, in awesome 70's colours like mustard yellow, quite tempted...

I'd rule out any Ford or VW, you'll be lucky to get anything decent for that price. Old Vauxhalls are cheap, always quite fancied a Firenza myself, but for epic fun at that price you can't beat an Imp really Wink

These are what I'd be looking at, but some are more modern than what you're after. Still, food for thought.
