They were shit for me without mods too, and the fact that for a standard car they wanted to go from £800 ish to over £1000......... I'm sorry, is it not supposed to get cheaper as you get older and get more no claims?! And yes its through Brentacre and I will be 26 in March  Re: Admiral Insurance - FMIC not allowed!? - Toms306 - 31-01-2012 mark_airey Wrote:Toms306 Wrote:Edited for you as they're not bad for standard...infact they've been cheapest std for 2years now. Maybe they're better for younger drivers then (18-21)? Oh and no, every year my renewal price with each insurer has gone up...hence changing every year lol.... And haha, thought it would be! ![]() Btw, I just tried a quote on your car ( ![]() ![]() Re: Admiral Insurance - FMIC not allowed!? - mark_airey - 31-01-2012 Toms306 Wrote:Maybe they're better for younger drivers then (18-21)? Oh and no, every year my renewal price with each insurer has gone up...hence changing every year lol.... You will do well to "chip" and XUD though, its declared as big turbo, FMIC, pump mods, induction mods, lowered ~100mm, exhaust, smoothed bumper & boot, GTi interior, stereo alloy wheels and anything else I have missed on a like for like basis where most insurers will only replace things with standard parts if you have an accident.............. Plus its obviously going to be cheaper than the golf, its about twice the age with less power and worth about half as much in standard form ![]() Re: Admiral Insurance - FMIC not allowed!? - Connor - 31-01-2012 Cost me like £60 to declare lowering and wheels with admiral ![]() Re: Admiral Insurance - FMIC not allowed!? - mark_airey - 31-01-2012 Connor Wrote:Cost me like £60 to declare lowering and wheels with admiral They clearly just don't like Tom ![]() I can insure my care with Brentacre modified with everything declared cheaper than I can though Admiral as a standard car..................go figure! Re: Admiral Insurance - FMIC not allowed!? - Connor - 31-01-2012 Surprisingly brent couldnt touch admiral for me :/ Re: Admiral Insurance - FMIC not allowed!? - Toms306 - 31-01-2012 mark_airey Wrote:Toms306 Wrote:Maybe they're better for younger drivers then (18-21)? I used chip cos obv that covers power increase but you cant add fmic (as the title of the thread! ![]() Its not twice the age....the golf is a 2001 lol. and anything over 10 years old seems to be cheaper (mines now 11...)..........and the power increase on yours gives it more bhp than the standard golf (only just, seeing as its same for 130 and 150 tdi ![]() ![]() Re: Admiral Insurance - FMIC not allowed!? - Toms306 - 31-01-2012 mark_airey Wrote:Connor Wrote:Cost me like £60 to declare lowering and wheels with admiral Hmm, Connor must be old too..... :? And you're right Mark, I can't see why they don't like me though.........in 3 of driving years I've spent ~£4300 on insurance alone! f*ck...it looks bad when you add it all up. :o Wouldn't mind if I lived in a shit area (got A postcode), crashed every weekend (never crashed yet), and had 9 points for driving like a cock or something (no points at all)....................... Why should I be tarred with the same brush as all the other young lads? Re: Admiral Insurance - FMIC not allowed!? - Toms306 - 31-01-2012 Connor Wrote:Surprisingly brent couldnt touch admiral for me :/ Oh....well thats odd!
