RE: Project Babyliss - Niall - 16-04-2013 Silent coat makes a big difference but you can use cloud 9 in a lot of places! You won't regret them focal comps. I've got them in the back of mine and they are great! RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 16-04-2013 Yeah I thought as much. Getting some Cloud 9 too but don't know if I can afford it at the moment! Yeah I know they're awesome, put some in the Audi years ago and currently have them in the '6. RE: Project Babyliss - Ed Doe - 16-04-2013 ZOMG! Shinies!!! ![]() Those coilies look uber-win ![]() ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 16-04-2013 Hopefully on tonight if I can be bothered ![]() Any news yet Ed? ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Ed Doe - 16-04-2013 No sorry Curt; I went to Ace last night! I'll grab a few minutes and sort it out this evening hopefully ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 16-04-2013 How dare you?! Haha, that's cool man, just wondering. That'd be awesome ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 17-04-2013 So it begins... ![]() Shiny shinies ![]() Greasy not so shinies ![]() Fronts: ![]() Rears: ![]() Lip taking a bit of a bashing ![]() ![]() Now to bed them in, 100 miles on their softest (bouncy bouncy) setting. Looking forward to having a play with the damping, but it already handles awesomely ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - C.A.R. - 18-04-2013 Looking fantastic mate. Every time I open this it makes me wish I still had mine! Love the mirrors. Only concern is, spending this much money on bits, how secure is it? A chap lost his key and immobiliser thing at a Nutz meet and we had his car going in about 10 minutes, they are shockingly easy to get into ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 18-04-2013 Cheers Chris ![]() Don't tell everyone that ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 18-04-2013 Security ...... just take the battery with you when you leave it RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 18-04-2013 Haha, quick release battery? I am considering a quick release boss actually... but I like where the steering wheel sits now. May try one though. Test fitted the duck tail: ![]() ![]() Fits pretty damn well considering I had to do a lot of "making it work". Fitted some clear side repeaters and tinted my bumper reflectors, as I'm too cheap to spend 50 quid on some clear ones. Random cards do have their uses: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Made a start on my sub enclosure: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 18-04-2013 Ive just bought an NRG Slim boss, then getting that D1 snap off boss i was speaking about the other day so that the wheel isn't too far out, i really want a deep dish steering wheel but i think that may mean i will be able to steer with my chin it will be that close. The Fibreglass seems to be going well, did you not want to go down into the dip aswell? or you keeping that for the jack RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 18-04-2013 That sounds likie a good plan mate. Yeah I'm the same as you, plus I love the Prototipo! Will look into those NRG ones ![]() Yeah it's getting there, put another layer on before I came in too. One more I reckon and then I'll make up the MDF front. Nah I decided not to, as there'd be nowhere to put it otherwise... So just went over the top. Then I'll just velcro the box in or come up with another quick release plan. RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 18-04-2013 The NRG ones are expensive, There are 'nrg' on ebay but im pretty sure it will be fake, will let you know when it turns up. Cable ties to fix the box in job done. RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 18-04-2013 Yeah just had a Google and came across them... bit pricey haha. Cool, will be good to see what it's like. Haha, of course! What was I thinking RE: Project Babyliss - C.A.R. - 19-04-2013 Look forward to seeing how that turns out! Maybe a hidden killswitch to the ignition would help increase security, but there's nothing quite like being able to take the steering wheel with you! Only problem is that the cheap eBay quick releases genuinely worry me and the named, branded ones are fecking expensive! RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 19-04-2013 Yeah me too ![]() Yeah Matt had one of the cheapo ones and it was awful, so much play, pure crap. But the D1 spec ones Nas sells on Nutz seem to get very good reviews, they're 40 odd quid I think. Might give one a go! RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 19-04-2013 50 posted, waiting for the bronze one to come into stock, im on the waiting list RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 21-04-2013 Ah right, thought it was less than that haha. That one does look smart! May get a blue one... Got my boot done today. Had a helper: ![]() Just went for satin black on the underside to save effort/money: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can see the weave of the carbon in places which is actually pretty cool ![]() A bit of Kurust on the boot floor: ![]() Then Hammerite: ![]() Making progress on the sub enclosure too, although no pics yet. I bought a new toy for the job too, top of the line Dremel, it's awesome ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 21-04-2013 Looking good. You will have it all fitted by next weekend. Think the satin black on the under side will look quite smart. RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 21-04-2013 Cheers mate. Hoping so! But still have a lot left to do... so probably going to be working on it after work every day. Yeah I think it'll be okay, although my need a touch up now I've got overspray on it ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Tom - 21-04-2013 This is so cool! I love that sub enclosure, always found it awesome how people make them like that! RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 22-04-2013 Looks sweet man, was good to see you yesterday even if it was brief! The boot looks good ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 22-04-2013 (21-04-2013, 10:00 PM)Tom Wrote: This is so cool! I love that sub enclosure, always found it awesome how people make them like that! The boot looks good Cheers mate ![]() So it's now looking like this: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's drying overnight with the inside laid up, so should hopefully be finished tomorrow. Just got to cut a hole for the connector, carpet/paint the box and mount the sub. RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 22-04-2013 The fleece blanket has been demoted to sub enclosure then. Quite impressed with how it has come out, how is the fibre glass reinforced, or is it strong enough as is with the pressure created by the sub? RE: Project Babyliss - puglove - 22-04-2013 Nice work curt, shes looking good ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 22-04-2013 (22-04-2013, 07:46 PM)Fozzy Wrote: The fleece blanket has been demoted to sub enclosure then. Well, it was laying about... and I'd already got paint on it... Some may say it's a promotion ![]() Only quite? ![]() (22-04-2013, 07:46 PM)puglove Wrote: Nice work curt, shes looking good Cheers Jamie ![]() RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 22-04-2013 Yeah got some of it done mate ![]() ![]() Get some pictures up of it with it on! I need to have a fap RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 22-04-2013 Ah cool, no worries mate ![]() Oh and the boot needs a sand and compound. RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 22-04-2013 Ahhhh that's looks sweet as f*ck mate ![]() Wanna respray my grill and bumper ![]() |
