RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 03-03-2013 Cheers lads got some very exiting stuff in the pipeline... RE: Project Babyliss - C.A.R. - 04-03-2013 Is it a turbo? Just noticed your '5 still has teeth! One of the first things I did was take those off and fit a nice mesh grille RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 04-03-2013 Yes exciting stuff indeed RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 04-03-2013 Mebbe Yeah I need to sort that out... Keep meaning to remove the fogs. I'm not sure on the mesh grilles, maybe in satin black or something... Most I've seen are shiny and me no likey. Can't wait John! RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 04-03-2013 I just took a satin black grille off the white mx5 it looked rubbish, open looks better if you ask me RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 04-03-2013 Hmm yeah I've always prefered open... Think I'll just lose the fogs and get my offset plate RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 04-03-2013 Got a bargain tow hook as it had some paint on it: Half hour later: RE: Project Babyliss - C.A.R. - 06-03-2013 I found a black mesh grille on eBay. Put a Mazdaspeed badge on it :p Had the same front tow hook as you too, also in silver - RE: Project Babyliss - cwspellowe - 06-03-2013 (06-03-2013, 10:38 AM)C.A.R. RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 06-03-2013 That does look pretty good Chris . Will maybe keep my eye out, but concentrating on other things than cosmetics at the moment... RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 11-03-2013 Been accumulating parts for a while now, and got quite a pile going on... Different way of doing it My bargain intercooler, £30 with the 90 degree bends (very handy) and some random pipe work, which if nothing else can be cut up and used as joiners. The actuator is actually pink... why not. Also have ordered Megasquirt MS2, so it's getting there RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 11-03-2013 You got the waterpipe with the turbo means you can water cool it to if you plan on it. RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 11-03-2013 Yeah need to decide whether to do that or not... Need to sort out getting an oil feed made up too RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 12-03-2013 More bits on the way RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 12-03-2013 Sweet stack of parts man!! Get it done already RE: Project Babyliss - vlj - 12-03-2013 (12-03-2013, 08:36 PM)Curt Wrote: More bits on the way Why haven't I been in this yet, sort it out. RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 12-03-2013 Because its a real mans car..................., clearly only Curt and i are man enough....... It's not a real mans car until you get pink fluffy dice RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 12-03-2013 Well I've got a pink actuator Matt I'm dying to haha, but gotta wait for Megasquirt to be built... and need some fabrication to take place... aaand a lot more to get yet haha. I'm trying to minimise out of action time, I know it's ambitious but if I can get all the bits I *think* I'll need (/John has told me I need ), then I stand more chance... RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 12-03-2013 Pink dice pah....... i have cuddly toys instead I don't like how the amount of time this is off the road comes down to my guidance, when mines been off the road for a year hahaha RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 12-03-2013 Uh-oh... RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 14-03-2013 Had to post this http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Zj_V4oVUM3s#! RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 14-03-2013 Hahaha, brilliant Random picture from today at the vets RE: Project Babyliss - Niall - 15-03-2013 What sort of power figures will you be looking at once its boosted? RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-03-2013 I'm aiming for somewhere around 200bhp to start with RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 15-03-2013 ?You fitting a new clutch as well then? RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-03-2013 Yeah I will be, probably not at first though I may aim lower while I save up as this is getting costly RE: Project Babyliss - Fozzy - 15-03-2013 Ah ok ignore the repeat question via PM then. You can sort your gearbox noise you spoke of while sorting clutch i guess RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-03-2013 Did I not tell you about that? After I fitted all new shift boots and sound proofing stuff, the noise completely disappeared while driving... I don't know what it's like from outside, but now I'm just thinking it was just too exposed and I was hearing too much of the box/release bearing |
