whats going on with my bonnet?

hey all just picked up a v reg hdi, just wondering if someone could tell me what the previous person has done, i think they have smoothed off the grill and just left the bonnet... are the creases where the badge used to be?

Looks like whatever filler was used is cracking

Yep, looks like a bad prep job, as Sean said, that's the filler cracking where the badge uses to.be

Sand it back and bung some decent fibreglass filler on it

cool no worries, ill sort it in the spring lol bit cold atm lol

yep thats the filler cracking off. Its exactly where the badge used to be. Ideally you need a plate welded in and then you need to skim it with as little filler as possible to stop it cracking.
