For the record, teh stop lever will do NOTHING on the pump, to prove my point... Go rev your car to 3000rpm on the throttle, then use the stop lever and watch what happens...
It moves the leverset just enough at idle to conk it out, but by the time you've got a good amount of fuel going in, it won't do ANYTHING.
