Thought i should do the proper thing and introduce myself, I'm Pete AKA Armzs16 on the 306gti6 forum. I'm a mechanic for a local reputable Peugeot citroen specialist so have plenty of knowledge to help some of you guys out if needed  .
Ive owned 8 different 306's in my time including my current two. My weekend / summer toy Low boost Rotrex supercharged black phase 2 gti-6 running approx 260bhp, and my phase 3 Astor grey hdi daily driver. Look forward to finding out what your forum has to offer as I'll be looking to do some more mods to my hdi soon.

Cheers mate, trouble is I don't currently have a pc or laptop from which to upload photos from. I make do with my iPhone at the minute till I bother to get a new laptop. Is this forum particularly mobile friendly or unfriendly?

What are the brembos like on the gti? Are they the 1s off a 406 cuz I heard that they are noisey?

Frosty, the brembo's make the brake pedal travel a bit further as there's more pistons to compress but they do work better than the gti brakes.
Mine has only shit pads and discs in at the minute and yes they are noisy! Apparently it's down to the resonance frequency of the disc as you have to use smaller 288mm xantia discs rather than the 305mm 406 ones. Proven way to cure this is to use tarox G88 discs but their £250 a set.... I'm not to sure about the whole frequency thing as one side squeals a lot more than the other so must be a reason... I'll look into it when I'm driving the 6 again in march.
Jamie, thought I'd finally sign up thinking of stage 2ing my hdi and there's a lot of useful info on here etc. plus some more meets to go to etc. most of those pics were taken on the way to trax actually. Along with a video of me beating a mates 350 bhp supra twin turbo up a dual carriageway haha.
Also got a question guys, why is it im not allowed to post in for sale sections at all? There's a few bits I'm interested in already and it says I'm not allowed to / my account may not be activated which it is..... Also wanna ask about a set of ferrodo ds2500's for the brembo's....

As for the HDI there is rakes of info and knowalgeable people on here, they will clear up any issues you have, also aster hdi = WINNING!

Yeh there's a few ppl on gti owners near here now. No supercharged 6's other than mine any closer than Maidstone though...

SRowell, that's the idea . I've had my 6 for about 5 years and was getting the arse with the fuel cost as a daily and at the same time got my hands on a supercharger kit so thought I'd better go back to another derv 306 as a daily. Particularly as the 6 now has to run in high octane fuel or will destroy itself lol.
I don't get home from work till 6-630 most nights and ace is about 2 hours away do wouldn't exactly be there early. Would be up for it another time though if your coming up from Hastings could meet up on the A21 or something.

The cover the cars been under the last 2 months blew off the other day in the windy spell we had so fired her up for the first time this year. Started instantly as always .
Have just secured me a much larger brembo setup with 330mm rotors and bells. Will be back in the road in feb

That plates the one it came out he factory with would you believe. I'll be keeping it if I ever sell the car for another 306 I think .
