I need to change my starter motor but the only one i have is a valeo from a Gti6 but the actual motor part of is smaller.
Will it be able to turn over a diesel?

If it's no good i've got a virtually brand new HDI one if they fit.. less than 1500miles covered on it!

It'll work, but don't expect it to last, you'll probably do in the windings and brushes after a bit...
