Righto chaps!
Misses wants to open up a savings account. Currently has a about 3500 but she puts loads away every month (the joys of not driving!)
An is a is out the question as she will exceed the 5460 limit...
What are her best options?
She's looking for something that pays the interest monthly and she isn't tied into for x years. She just wants simplicity.
Cheers

to be fair mate i think cully nailed it putting it in bonds, no where offers much interest lately and with bonds you get back if not more so why not?

You say an isa is out of the question but open an isa. Go up to your tax limit or whatever it is
Then go to the next bank (make sure they're not still owned by the same people) then open another
