New Member V6

Well as some of you may have seen that shit heap of a 306 V6 on ebay the other week what didnt sell... Or did it not? Will yes i am the new owner. Paid £500 for it and what a bargain.

I am not new to the 306 game as this is my 9th 306 now, most been GTi6's. Really miss my last astor grey track toy tho Sad

Anyway here it is when i bought it:

So i started putting some spare bits and bobs on it what i had lying around so this is how its looking at the minute:

GTi6 rear bumper, 16" speedlines, Standard rear lights and RAMAIR filter

The car is sitting so high at the minute due to the subframe having to be dropped around an inch!

Cyclones for sale or my keep them as a spare

Next job is to sort out the handling. I have a set of KONI coilovers on order along with Straight through stainless middle section into scorpion back box, Morette headlights, BMC air filter and some 406 brembos... And picking up a new bonnet tomorrow too. Cars going to have every panel a different colour soon haha. Good job its getting painted over the xmas/new year

Will update more once i get a few more updates done. Enjoy Angel

Be interested to see how this ends up going/looking.
Have you checked whats going on with the engine mounts in order to accomodate a v6?
Its always the first thing I check if im looking at a car thats had an engine swap as I once drove 400 miles to buy a vauxhall nova with a c20let engine conversion only to get there and find the entire thing was held in by one rubber engine mount and a couple of bolts!
long story short, alot of wasted time and money on fuel.
anyway, hope you get it going as well as a v6 in a 306 ought to Smile

I'm curious as to why the subframe is on spacers, for what purpose is this? Is something fouling the steering rack?

Iirc it's due to the driveshafts hitting the wishbones if you do not lower the subframe on spacers

Nice bargain tho mate Smile any chance of a few pics of the gearbox setup plz thinking of mayb doing the conversion myself in the future Smile

Absolute bargain! I personally like it how it was first with the phase 2 rear bumper. Looks more poverty spec and sleeper.

Loving the rattiness of the v6 machine though! Bet that surprises a few significantly more expensive cars!! Tongue

Well paid for a few parts today so hopefully be here early next week so i can get them fitted Smile
Picked up a better bonnet and omp strut brace today after work, will get them on in the morning. Just need to wait on my morettes turning up and i can fit my light weight front panel Wink Could do with ordering some bonnet pins too.

I fitted my astor rear bumper as i dont like the shape of the xsi bumper and the GTi6 bumper has the cut out for the exhaust that i should be picking up sunday.

You seem to like drilling the holes in the grill. Do you actually see much of a difference?

Censored car is off the road at the minute! Hit a bump in the road and my car bottomed out smashing a small hole in the sump and denting the down pipe. Nothing major tho, it will fix.
