Phase 2 rear lights on a phase 3?

As the title says, I quite like the look of the rear lights on the older models, is it me dreaming or are they actually different? Also will the plastic lip, (thats what I'm assuming it is - never actually seen one) on the bottom of the tailgate go on a phase 3? I quite the the look of this too as I think it breaks up the rear end of the car a bit!

Ph2 rear lights are the same as Ph3, but the little strip your talking about only comes on the ph2 bootlid.

Ph1 rear lights are different. Not sure what would need to be done to put ph1 lights on a ph2/3 though.
