Jesus, 400bhp on standard internals?! That's nuts, genuinely interested to see how this copes with the power...

Proven no problemo!!

there a i think 8 -10 300+ bhp peugeot cars in Holland on stock internals without having problems
DP did a stock RFS engine up tot 530BHP on E85 , lol
decompplate is a must though, i had my pistons changed and weighted, so 8.1 compression

thx,but @ nufc4frosty, were still only in the beginfase Wink

car wont be hitting the streets before march next year, whens the weather a bit better.... lets see if i can wait that long, hahaha
That isnt my cage... will be almost the same except for an extra diagonal in the main hoop,it was just for reference.. black 306 with full white cage is nice!

Ive ran the car with the oldsetup @ 280 ( was on the rollers then @ DP , and did 315bhp , that was with to little injectors, stock plastic intake, and stock exhaust!
injectorduty was 100% and they set it back to 280bhp, car was then already quite quick
Turbo on the car now with the homemadesetup is a VF35 (JAPANESE WRX) and good for max 360BHP on a WRX, with this setup i could make around 360-370bhp
Since i only drove the car for about a mile Wink took it home on the ambulance and plans were already made to give it some serious muscle.
Tuning is really the key here to keep things safe and working, DP has proven that you dont need a forged peugeotengine to create a monster, they dont make dynoqueens.
6 engine is almost the same as the S16 and has also no problem whatsoever with slapping on a turbo, once again tuning is key!
the 466bhp 106 is being used very good! and being driven HARD!!!!! thats 466 BHP out of a 1.6 GTI engine, stock!!!!! en is going without problems for over 3 years now and is no exception.

The above is so true, there's a certain company that has made everyone believe that 250hp is the absolute limit for stock internals... Don't get me wrong, Peugeot XUs aren't blessed with the strongest rods of any 2.0 NA but they aren't half bad, they'll easily do double stock power... Proper tuning with someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to Peugeot engines is invaluable...

For a company, that needs to sell a reliable kit that lasts for years without touching it. There's a lot of shit on my car that I'd never do to someone elses...

I wish people could understand this!!!

Its amazing how people think just because they have seen someone else mount a 80mm turbo on an xud, its perfecly safe to do so themselves...some of us dont use our cars for the same reasons as others!

Theres a massive difference between someone tuning his own car for a hobby / outright fun, and a company, selling a product / service to a customer for money! "Ill just crank it up to 60psi and see if it can clear the fuel out of interest, run a few tempary wires out the window / up the road with no pipe and bypass the fuel filter a second" are all standard issue on my own car, but wouldnt dream of taking any risks like that with someone elses, the same goes to a company tuning a customers car, they know it can make 400hp, therefore they tune it to 300 to be sure the customer isnt back in 2 months demanding a new motor etc...thats why most of the most naughty / rediculas builds are normally built by random people in there back gardens / on a farm or something, not in big reputable tuning places, other than the companys own strip cars etc...

Exactly this, I completely understand where they are coming from, but the fact that people take what one person said as gospel winds me up... I remember a time not long ago where 130hp XUDs were a novelty... People can't just take what one person said and go off that, its been shown so many times that what people say on the internet is not necessarily true... You have to take everything with a pinch of salt... So many people have said things cannot be done, and time and again been proven that it can be done... What's desperately lacking is people's own research on matters and coming to their own conclusions..

Well, now with the correct tool for the driveshafts, we had the engine out in notime....
Didnt make pics of that cause we all can imagine what a enginebay looks like without engine... indeed a greasy dirty mess!

When we had the engine out we testfitted the DP engineering stuff along with the turbo, turbohousing needs to be turned... but thats for later... we have to find the best spot for the tial wastegate (to bad you wont be seeing this piece of art)

So not to many flashy stuff for today, but here a some testfitting pics, note engine is very very dirty, and will get a good clean... rockercover needs to be changed for the new one, new timebelt , waterpump etc etc.

Enjoy

DP turbomanifold and 3inch DP downpipe, see how nicely they flow next to eachother without touching.....

Since today also finally my carbonfiber mirrorcaps arrived from Spoox Motorsport... they advertise them real nice with clear coat on them... however you get them @ home without the clear coat so your fcked to to it yourself... so out comes the rattlecan and the hairdryer of the mrs, and lets have a go.

ive testfitted them quick and fitment isnt 100%... i think they look nice when the car is finished , but i think theyre also overpriced like 8 or 9 times!
I wont recommend them for the money thats for sure

Next up is seat fitting, since ive got some OMP basemounts from my mates ZX (gt28rs Turbo) and i want to see if they fit the 306....
Im gonna clean the enginebay next week and hope i can tighten things up a bit.
And going to paint some stuff in the back once again, before the rollcage gets here...

Cheers for now and will update ASAP

have a nice weekend

thx guys,

Birk, to try im gonna use a OMP paddle sintermetallic clutch with upgraded plessureplate, this same plate hold 440nm on a 106 turbo with GT30 before it started slipping, and they use a 200mm clutch.

Im gonna see what the 215mm can cope with , if it doesnt hold im using a Sachs plate instead
